Five spacious guest rooms, beautifully reflect the village's rich history with their comfortable southwest décor. Each features queen-size beds & kitchenette, and overlook our private garden where meandering walkways lead to quiet sanctuary, with cactus, mesquite trees and a selection of indigenous flora. Our accommodations in the village affords convenient walking to all of the 60 shops, galleries and restaurants.

The Tubac Country Inn is just steps from history. 250 years ago the Spanish established a presidio, or fort, in Tubac to protect its settlers. Today, Tubac is a village that has long nurtured artisans and is proud of its more than 60 shops and galleries. Our residents have come here for the ideal High Chapparal climate, thousands of acres of cottonwood and mesquite forests. The Santa Cruz river nourishes this green valley.

In 1752, the commander of the presidio, Juan Bautista de Anza, was ordered to open a new route to California. His journey from Tubac to San Francisco is immortalized as the de Anza Trail, part of which travels along the Santa Cruz River from Tubac to the mission at Tumacacori. Explore this untouched high desert and discover hidden canyons, streams, and ancient Native American Indian village sites.
