A Spanish-inspired 1931 house, Sam Hughes Inn Bed and Breakfast takes its name from the historic district just east of the University of Arizona, and is one mile south of the University Medical Center. Its red tiled roof, original oak floors and Art Deco architectural details add to the incredible variety of early Tucson homes in this residential area. This lodging, often recommended by U of A departments, is a contributing historic property with giant shade trees, a huge walled courtyard area with a brick sunken fountain garden, mature foliage and many places to sit and relax on the large Ramada covered patio.

The house features 4 bedrooms with private baths and antique pieces in every room, plus a large public area Great Room with library & TV and a smaller sitting/game room. Guest laptop & printer available plus wireless internet access throughout. Parking is on site. Walk to bus, grocery store ( bank, ATM & pharmacy), restaurants, shops, and on-campus museums & theaters. A picturesque in-town park is just 1.5 miles away with golf course, tennis courts, year round heated swimming pools, zoo, rose garden & jogging paths. Theaters, restaurants and downtown historic destinations are five minutes away by car. Four easy to reach mountain ranges surround Tucson.
