Proxy Voting for December 8th Meeting
Hello, innkeepers Some members have contacted me to say that they cannot make it to Chandler for next Tuesday's Annual Meeting. While I completely understand, our By-laws still require a majority of active member inns be present to establish a quorum and to conduct business at the meeting. AABBI's By-laws do provide for proxy voting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please assign your inn's vote to a trusted colleague who will be present on Tuesday. Send a simple e-mail to that AABBI member designating them as the representative of your inn's proxy vote. Please copy that e-mail to me at stay@RoyalElizabeth.com so that we may accurately record the proxy count in the Meeting Minutes, and so that I may track our progress toward a quorum. Per the Agenda I e-mailed earlier this week, I don't anticipate soliciting votes on any substantial issues, outside of Board elections and approval of routine Association reports. Still, assign your proxy vote to a member you trust will vote on your behalf should additional issues arise at the meeting. Note that there is no stated limit to the number of proxy votes a member may carry on behalf of others. Please feel free to call me with any questions you might have. I am also happy to tell you which members from your area have registered and are expected to attend next Tuesday. Many thanks. JEFF Jeff DiGregorio, President
